This explains what Best Home Advice collects when you use besthomeadvice.com, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do.
What we collect
- Things you send us. If you email us or sign up for a mailing we hold
your address and the content of your message.
- Ordinary server logs. IP address, browser user agent, referring page and
time of request, recorded so we can run and protect the site.
What we use it for
- Replying to you.
- Sending email you asked for, and honouring opt-outs.
- Keeping the site up, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not subscribe people who merely contacted us.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Sharing
Only with the providers who help us run the site and send email, limited to
what that requires — and where the law requires it of us.
How long we keep it
Correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with it and keep a
record. Suppression-list entries indefinitely, because deleting them would undo the opt-out.
Your choices
- Email: opt out any time via email preferences.
- Access, correction, deletion: write to privacy@besthomeadvice.com.
- California residents: the CCPA/CPRA give you rights to know, delete and
correct, and not to be treated differently for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal
information as the CCPA defines those terms.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable steps to protect what we
hold. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot promise otherwise.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
